Good News:- Croatian Fine Wines Limited has a New Owner

Croatian Fine Wines sold on 17 October 2013 at Vina Croatia 2013 London

On 17 October 2013, Croatian Fine Wines Limited was sold to entrepreneur Mark Roberts FCCA.

Mark and his wife Mandy will be taking over the business, having had their ‘Croatian wine epiphany’ on a recent holiday in Dalmatia, when they tasted Croatian wines for the first time – the wines were from Istria!

When they came back from Croatia, they wanted to buy Croatian fine wines so much they bought the company!

James B Waddell the former Managing Director of Croatian Fine Wines Limited, will be providing part-time independent consultancy support to Mark for the first year to complete the handover of the business.

James commenting on the sale of the company he founded said, “I am delighted that a buyer has been found for the company and that the Croatian Fine Wines brand has been passed over to the safe hands of Mark Roberts.  This will give continuity for our producers in being represented in the UK and for our customers who can now stock up in time for Christmas on Croatian wines.  Sharon and I sincerely wish Mark and Mandy well as they take the company to the next level.”

A new Croatian Wine List from Istria, Dalmatia and Slovenia

Mark and Mandy have prepared a new Croatian wine list which includes:

• New vintage wines from Franc Arman, Kabola (including Amfora and Teran) and Pilato (inclduing Cabernet Sauvignon)

and for the first time

• Two Plavac Mali wines from the internationally renowned Vinarija Dingač in Dalmatia
• Graševina and Ranjski Rizling white wines, with more familiar white and red wines, from the famous Vinarija Zdjelarević in Slavonia in the far east of Croatia, beyond Zagreb.

Croatian wine in transit to the UK in time for Christmas 2013

The wine will be leaving Croatia on Tuesday 3 December 2013 and is scheduled to arrive at the new purpose built warehouse and licensed premises about a week later for immediate dispatch by next day delivery, well in time for enjoying Croatian wines, before and during Christmas 2013 and the New Year.
