Malvazija Istarska (aka Malvasia Istriana) is an indigenous Istrian grape variety. The wine is a pale yellow straw colour tinged with green. The aroma is floral and fruity; the taste crisp, fresh and pleasantly acidic. Ideal for partnering with seafood, and pasta dishes. It can also be enjoyed on its own. A lovely example of Malvazija Istarska from one of Istria’s top wine makers Franc Arman.
“Fabulous, clean, zesty, light bodied dry white with a crisp finish, excellent as an aperitif or also an ideal accompaniment to seafood.” John Roberts (Wine Consultant)
“The Franc Arman Malvazija 2013 has all the pleasure fruit notes of a lovely Istrian Malvazija: the distinctive typical fruit signature of the Malvazija grape and the soft lingering finish will reaffirm your fondness for this wine. The nose is lightly fragrant and inviting. A wine to enjoy with friends with a wide range of food or around the kitchen table with ‘nibbles’ as you finish off cooking the meal.” James B Waddell
