Matusko Dingac 2017

A typical varietal example of Supreme Quality (Vrhunsko) Plavac Mali from the vineyards on the steep seaward facing slopes of Dingač. Dingač is an EU Protected Designated Origin (PDO).

The Matusko winery is situated in Potomje, perched on the top of the cliffs of the Pelješac Peninsular. The peninsular lies roughly half way between Split and Dubrovnik, in the wine region of Dalmatia. The family has been making wines for decades, and today the head winemaker, Mato Violić Matuško is one of the most respected in Dalmatia. The winery is itself a popular tourist destination, especially for the wine enthusiast.

Tasting Notes

Matšuko Dingač 2017 is a stunning example of Plavac Mail from the appellation of Dingač. Matured in large oak barrels, the wine is dark ruby red in colour with purple hues. The wine has aromas of dark fruits and Mediterranean herbs. To taste, the wine is full bodied, with flavours of ripe dark berries, along with a hint of spice and leather. The wine is well balanced, with a long finish.

We recommend opening the bottle for at least 2 hours before enjoying!
