Ilocki Podrumi Kapistran Crni Select 2017

Iločki Podrumi Kapistran Crni Select 2017 is aged in Inox vats and then blended with wine matured in oak barrels from the estate’s 563 years old wine cellar.

The vines on the appellation are 190m to 200m above sea level, mostly on plateaus facing North-west. Constant breezes from the Danube assure good health condition of the grapes and therefore minimum treatment is needed.

The soil is chernozem and regosol base on alluvial-diluvial sediment loess, which allows the roots of the vines to go deep into the soil and gaining enough moisture from the subterranean waters of the Danube, even during long, dry and hot summers. The right bank of the river Danube is actually very close to the vineyards, less than 1.5 km as the crow flies.
