Kabola Malvazija Istarska 2021

Kabola winery is situated in an elevated terraced position on the South West facing side of the Momjan Valley, towards the Adriatic Sea, which can be seen in the distance from the vineyards. This location benefits from dry warm air and therefore there is no need to spray the vines, which supports the maintaining of their EU Organic certified status of the winery. Kabola was the first vineyard in Istria to achieve EKO Organic certification in 2007 and EU Organic Certification in 2014. It is also the region in Istria where the red and grey soils touch each other, which gives the wines a special flavour.

Tasting Notes

The wine has a lovely greenish-yellow colour, it is crystal clear and has medium body. The nose opens with acacia flower, notes of fresh apple, lime peel and mint leaves. The wine is dry, partly warm and partly soft, while retaining a refined freshness, pleasant minerality and medium body. It is exceptionally balanced, with an intense flavour and lovely finish. The wine is flavourful, harmonious and highly drinkable, with notes of peach in the aftertaste.
